BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY BIRTHDAY for QUEEN CECE

Our photographer and momma to the birthday girl (and the Freddie Mercury look-alike) is quite clever at weaving their family’s love for life into her photography of them. For Cece’s second birthday, it was an easy choice when looking for a party theme because her kiddos are obsessed with the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody and the soundtrack. From there, she assembled a line-up of vendors to fit the bill to bring the party together. Archive Rentals is offering furniture for little ones now, which is such an easy way to elevate any gathering and have comfortable appropriately sized seating for the little ones. The queen birthday girl had a custom made sunsuit embellished with stars and sparkle. More is more with disco balls for this design, as the main source of inspiration. The florals are the hit of pink the tablescape called for. We used a sublet vessel so the color of the blooms and golden dried goods would have their time to shine. Being that the table is scaled for kiddos, I arranged the florals in the same fashion with smaller designs, as not to overpower the celebratory details but to complement them. The visual layers are fun and fresh with the balloon backdrop, textured rugs, graphic seating, and iridescent shine details of paper products. The cake presentation has a peachy pink tone-on-tone monochromatic vibe that adds to an elevated textural elements. To bring the design story back around to our rock star Queen theme, you’ll find Cece’s big brother committed to the design BIG TIME and rocked Freddie Mercury’s signature look, mustache and all.
